TruckStops easily handled multiple collections & deliveries on the same route
James Bennett, chief executive, Hippowaste, providers of national domestic and commercial waste collection and recycling service.
"We had heard that TruckStops was widely used in bulk milk collection operations, which can involve picking up from multiple location points and delivering on the same journey"..."It sounded like exactly the kind of problem we have to deal with."
"In fact, the HIPPOBAG requirement is if anything even more complicated than milk collection, since it can involve multiple pickup points and several delivery points on each journey. But we soon realised TruckStops was going to be able to take this in its stride."

It handles complex requirements: reloads and product-specific cleaning
Wincanton pick up product in one area, move it to a larger trailer waiting at a convenient point in the locality, then reload and trunk it back to base or onward to the delivery point.
It also has to differentiate speciality milks from standard product, ensuring they are carried in tankers that have been cleaned prior to changing milk types. TruckStops route order codes were used to specify that vehicles can only be reloaded if each consignment is compatible with the previous one. As a result, Kevin says:
"In some cases we've saved a couple of shifts, gaining more capacity to take on extra business and in other cases we've achieved striking reductions in the kilometres run by the vehicles."
