Dynamics SL Users Hear Why Truckstops Makes An Ideal Scheduling Partner

microsoft_dynamics_sl_conferenceIntegrating Truckstops vehicle routing and scheduling optimisation software with Microsoft Dynamics SL is the most reliable and productive way to ensure business efficiency and costs are contained in the service and delivery management industry.

This was the message taken to the Dynamics SL Users Group Fall Conference by Mary Short, founder and director at Mapmechanics, the developer and supplier of Truckstops.

During the conference, which took place in San Antonio, TX this September, Mary Short gave a presentation in which she advised delegates: “A key to getting the most out of Truckstops’ is to provide it with high-quality information. A robust, proven system such as Dynamics SL is an ideal source.” She predicted that this interlinking of core technologies would be a key theme in the coming year.

In her talk, Mary explained how Truckstops can create efficient routes and schedules for preventive maintenance service calls, routine inspections and account management visits, as well as for deliveries and collections constrained by time windows and physical vehicle capacity.

She pointed out that these same features had contributed to making Truckstops one of the longest-established routing and scheduling products for vehicles and people in the world, and one of the most widely deployed.

Mapmechanics, a sponsor at the event, specializes in logistics software and data products for business intelligence, mapping, and geographic information systems. It has had a long association with Microsoft products and a wide range of ERPs (enterprise resource planning systems), and acts as an ISV (independent software vendor).

Her talk was CPE-accredited, meaning that it was recognised as contributing to the continuing professional education program adopted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Microsoft Dynamics SL is the ERP formerly known as Solomon. It has been part of the Microsoft portfolio for more than 15 years.
